Connecting the global Passenger & Cruise Lines community
Our extraordinary life at sea has inherent communication problems at professional, social and personal levels.
Working on board as a crew member, officer or seaman of any rank, Captain to Cadet, Cruise Director to Oiler, Executive Chef to Laundryman, we all know how difficult keeping in contact and communicating with shipmates, friends, colleagues and family can be. As crew, we work together for months, sign off, and then possibly not see each other again for months or even years, and still remain in the same company. Should one of us change companies or leave the sea altogether, it is far too easy to lose contact completely.
The crew members' transitory existence, work evironment, and constantly rotating and changing crew, causes the break down of professional and personal communication networks. Getting news, information and data regarding our industry and companies is often very difficult due to technical issues, resources and lack of access.
Taking the best elements from the internet and social networking, and applying them to our industry, Crew 2 Crew has designed and built a number of communications solutions specifically for crew members at sea and those with links to it.
Utilizing the latest advances in communication technologies, we have built an online platform that can be securely accessed via narrow band and slow dial-up networks, satellite and mobile technologies.
