we all know how difficult keeping in contact and communicating with
shipmates, friends, colleagues and family can be.
As crew, we work together in an uncertain industry, signing off,
changing vessels or home ports and then possibly not see each other
again for months or even years. Should one of us change fleets or
leave the sea altogether, it is far too easy to lose contact completely.
Our extraordinary life at sea has inherent communication problems
