Graham Duncan, Managing Director

Graham Duncan

Graham formed Crew 2 Crew in 2004.

Graham has extensive experience of working within the maritime industry. He began his marine career on the deck-side, working as an able bodied seaman on chemical tankers. After attaining his engineering license at Warsash Maritime Academy, he worked 15 years on L.N.G. tankers trading between Japan, Arabian Gulf, Trinidad and the U.S.

During his final two years at sea, he joined the fleet IT department where he built admin and maintenance databases for use by multi-national crews. This experience has given Graham insights into the cultural and language challenges faced by contemporary crews... and the technology to solve them.

Soen Trueman, Lead Software Developer

Soen Trueman

Soen's extensive experience with user-friendly interactive systems, building robust architectures, and developing creative software solutions ensures Crew 2 Crew has a reliable platform that's ready for the latest innovations.

Soen's task is to support the technologies behind Crew 2 Crew and make sure the user experience is simple, fast and contemporary whatever the available technologies.

From a maritime family, and with work experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Soen understands the unique challenges and rewards of crew related life.

Gertrude Chikwekwe, Web Developer

The Crew 2 Crew family is ever-increasing with the newest member, Gertrude Chikwekwe, joining us as Web Developer.

Gertrude has a vast array of knowledge in computing through her academic career, studying Computer Science in her home country of Malawi and has also recently completed an MSc in Information Engineering with Network Management at the Robert Gordon University.

As well as having a strong grasp of building, developing and maintaining websites, Gertrude also has past experience in crew industries. Working with CNR International as part of the ArmorGroup, a global Oil and Gas company, Gertrude had regular communication with crew members both on and offshore and discovered there the many communication and relationship problems within the industry.

Gertrude has an integral role at Crew 2 Crew and will be working closely with our Lead Software Developer, Soen Trueman, to maintain the website and communications portal and ensure it is easy to navigate for all types of users.

Angela Hogg, Administrator

Angela is our administrator and has a vast variety of roles within Crew 2 Crew; from being the first point of contact for organization communication to clerical activities, account keeping and market research.

Angela received a BA(CNAA) Librarianship & Information Studies from the Robert Gordon University. With sixteen years experience in library services at Aberdeenshire Council, Angela has more than enough skills and expertise to keep us all in check!

Susannah Nichol, Online Journalist

Susannah has been taken on as Online Journalist and is currently studying for a degree in BA Publishing with Journalism at the Robert Gordon University.

Following on from a successful Shell Step work placement with Crew 2 Crew, Susannah will now be focusing on various media tasks, including generating professional content for industry news and message boards, assisting in the media launch and creating multimedia pieces for Crew 2 Crew in the future.

Past work experience in magazine publishing, radio and newspapers as well as her specialist academic studies have given Susannah a wide-ranging knowledge of communication industries and she is set to bring fresh ideas to Crew 2 Crew's future.

Craig Sandison, Online Marketing

Craig is currently in his final year at The University of Aberdeen, studying BA Management Studies and will be working part time with Crew 2 Crew in an Online Marketing role.

Craig initially arrived at Crew 2 Crew as part of the Shell Step program, and after having worked on content and search optimization content during his placement spell, has agreed to continue working with the company in a similar role.

Craig brings with him an abundance of skills and talent and has a bright future ahead of him with Crew 2 Crew.
